In the Shadow of the General
General Pinochet has returned home from his arrest in England. Now Chile must come to terms with his 17-year dictatorship. How does a country conditioned to forgive human rights abuses bring to justice those in the armed forces responsible for the atrocities? This film will examine Chilean attitudes about its past from the marxist government of President Salvador Allende through the bloody coup and the years of repression and eventual economic stability under the iron fist of General Augusto Pinochet.

This film is currently in pre-production.
